Masca
Masca is a charming mountain village located in the west of Tenerife, and it is often regarded as one of the most picturesque villages on the island. Nestled amidst rugged terrain, Masca is known for its stunning natural beauty and traditional Canarian architecture.
Masca is known for its remote and secluded location. It's tucked away in the Teno Mountains, and getting to this village involves navigating a winding and narrow road that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The journey to Masca is an adventure in itself.
Masca has historical importance as it was once a refuge for pirates who used the rugged terrain to hide from authorities. The village's history is intertwined with tales of pirates and their exploits in the area.
Teide
Mount Teide is not only the highest point in Tenerife but also the highest volcano in Spain. Its peak reaches an impressive altitude of 3,718 meters (12,198 feet) above sea level, making it the third-largest volcano in the world when measured from its base at the ocean floor.
Mount Teide and its surrounding Teide National Park have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This recognition highlights its unique geological and natural significance, including its diverse flora and fauna.
Despite its barren appearance at higher elevations, Mount Teide is home to a unique and fragile ecosystem known for the "tajinaste rojo." This striking red-flowered plant is specially adapted to the volcanic soil and can be found growing in the park.
In short you will visit some iconic sights, explore one of the oldest villages in Tenerife and take in a beautiful sunset before heading up the mountain to over 2,000 metres to the base of the highest mountain in Spain and the 3rd highest volcano in the world to enjoy the beautiful night sky with your own personal stargazing guide at one of the world renowned stargazing sites.
The places visited can be adapted to suit your needs and we always try and take you to areas that are not tourist saturated.
